“I was just so impressed with the level of service” - Dr Kelly Fisher

Dr. Kelly Fisher is the only veterinarian at the veterinary clinic in Greers Ferry, in a town of 800 people, which was a major covid-19 hot spot after a pastor and his wife tested positive, and several people passed away.

When the coronavirus shutdowns started, Dr. Fisher closed the clinic’s doors for the first few days, and worked with distributors to postpone payments, but she was concerned for her staff of eight, and she was interested in securing a loan that would help her get through.

When she called her bank (she was not with First Service Bank at the time), she was told that they were too busy with other loan applications to give her the clear answers she needed, but her loan officer suggested she call First Service Bank, which already had a reputation for processing the applications quickly.

When Dr. Fisher called the Clinton branch, loan officer Justin Zimmerman told her that First Service Bank was an authorized lender for the Small Business Administration, and he explained what she needed to do, then went out of his way to meet her at 7:30 in the morning, to collect her financial documents before she started her day at the clinic.  Once he had all her documents, he had the loan processed with an hour, and she had money three days later.  “Boom, boom, boom,” she said, “they got it done.”

A loan from First Service Bank allowed Dr. Fisher to keep her employees working work full time, instead of cutting back their hours, and now she has hired additional staff to accommodate new workflows that ensure coronavirus protocols are followed, to keep her staff and her patients safe.

Since Dr. Fisher started working with First Service Bank, she has been impressed with the level of service and responsiveness.  She says that her loan officer gave her his cell phone number, and now she can drop him a text, to check in with questions, or to test out the idea of getting a business mortgage down the road, when the coronavirus crisis has passed.

“I was just so impressed with the level of service, she said, “and I look forward to working with them in the future.”
