Chamblee named lending officer

Nathan Chamblee was “blown away” by the comments he heard in the community about First Service Bank so much that he decided it was the place he wanted to call home.

Nathan has been named a mortgage and commercial lending officer at the institution’s Little Rock location. He has almost three years of lending experience and previously worked as a residential mortgage loan originator at another financial business and has helped hundreds of families across Arkansas.

“I will be developing business relationships and originating, structuring and closing residential and commercial loans,” said Nathan. “I will also help educate, advise and guide investors and homeowners through the loan process smoothly while maintaining referral relationships for future growth for First Service.”

Nathan cites his personal customer experience at First Service for drawing him to the bank. “I was originally interested in the First Service position after going through the commercial loan process with Nate Bartlett, a lender at the Conway branch. I was incredibly impressed with the process and how they did things compared to other banks,” he said. “I was incredibly interested in being in a position to originate commercial loans as well as residential loans. Whenever I began meeting people at First Service and hearing the great things that people in the community were saying, I was blown away and knew it was where I wanted to call home.”

A 2018 graduate of Arkansas Tech University, Nathan earned bachelor’s degrees in sociology and criminal justice. He also has an associate degree in criminal justice.

“I have always had an interest in finance and numbers, and I love helping people,” said Nathan of his interest in banking. “When the opportunity to become a mortgage lender presented itself, I saw it as the perfect way to merge both of those passions and make it a career. The biggest satisfaction that I get from this profession is being able to walk away from a successful closing knowing that the customer truly had a great experience and that they felt like more than just a number.”

Born in Texarkana, Texas, Nathan lives in Benton with his wife, Lucy, and son Bennett. He looks forward to joining the Saline County Homebuilders.

“Overall, I am most excited about being able to assist my referral partners even more now by having the ability to do commercial and residential loans,” Nathan said. “It adds a whole new set of tools to my tool box that I can use to help families buy homes and investors grow their portfolios.”
