First Service Bank promotes Magie

First Service Bank promotes Magie

Courtney Magie has been named a compliance and internal audit specialist at First Service Bank.

“We are excited that Courtney’s years of working in one of our branches will help strengthen our compliance team with her knowledge and experience.  She is a vital asset to our team,” said Andy Grumbles, CFO.

Courtney previously served as the branch manager for First Service Bank locations in Conway and was responsible for day-to-day operations.

In her new role, Courtney said she will have an opportunity to provide guidance and help to all areas of the bank, instead of focusing on a specific area. “I am looking forward to being able to make a positive impact on the bank as a whole,” she said. “I love the retail side of banking and the branch life has been my entire banking career, but the idea of supporting the entire staff and system is exciting to me.”

“I’m looking forward to seeing the rewards of our team’s hard work.”

Courtney, who has worked almost seven years for First Service, was also a universal banker and assistant branch manager. She has 14 years of experience in the banking industry.

“First Service feels like a second home to me,” she said.  “Not only am I with my co-workers and customers as much as I am my family sometimes, but the amazing team at First Service has also been by my side and supported me through some of the most amazing times and also some of the hardest times of my life. The employees are family and have been a huge support for me personally and professionally.”

Courtney earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration/marketing from the University of Central Arkansas. Born in Texarkana, she lives in Conway and has two children.

“It is a huge blessing to work for First Service Bank,” said Courtney, explaining that the company shares her commitment of “investing in bettering my community for my kids and myself, and all our neighbors and friends.”

“First Service makes community involvement a priority in every community we bank and many other surrounding areas as well,” she said. “These are the communities we live in, that our families and homes are in, that we are raising our children in, and we are investing in.”

First Service Bank, with its headquarters in Faulkner County, has been in operation for more than 60 years and has locations in Clinton, Conway, Dermott, Flippin, Greenbrier, Little Rock, Mountain View, Shirley and Yellville. For more information, visit firstservicebank.com.
